Outhouse Race Information:


  • The first rule of consideration is SAFETY for the racers and for the public. Use good common sense based on safety in construction of the outhouse, in dress and in racing.


  • A team shall consist of a maximum of five (5) people. One (1) person must ride inside. No weight limit for rider


  • Outhouses are to have 4 walls, a roof, a doorway, and a seat with at least one (1) hole. If you have a door, the door must be secured open during the race. No weight requirement.


  • The races will start at the start/finish line in front of Needlerock Mountain Realty (Hwy 92/E St.).


  • Teams will race west to halfway between the start and mid-point of the course to the toilet paper station. The rider will exit the outhouse and wrap the toilet paper from their toilet paper holder in the outhouse around the outhouse clockwise and re-enter the outhouse without breaking the paper.  If the paper breaks, the rider will repeat the process until completed without breaking. The team may assist the rider with this challenge,


  • Teams will race 200 feet west to the race mid-point where the rider will exit the outhouse and retrieve a single corn cob from a muck bucket. The muck bucket will also be filled with various fruits/vegetables and wet cracked corn. Note:  It is suggested that the rider dress appropriately for searching in the muck bucket for the corn cob (short sleeves suggested.


  • While the rider is retrieving the corn cob the rest of the team turns the outhouse around, lining up the front of the outhouse on the midpoint line, facing toward the start/finish line.


  • Once the rider has retrieved the corn cob, the rider will re-enter the outhouse with the corn cob and the team will proceed to the start/finish line.


  • Each team entry will be announced as you setup to race. Please provide a short description of your team for the announcer on your Entry Form.
